Trade: A Day After Being Traded By The Tigers, Curtis Granderson Is On The Move Again..

The Homestead Grays have traded CF Curtis Granderson ($26) to WinOrLoseHitTheBooze for SP Josh Johnson ($8) and a 5th round pick in 2010.

The 28-year-old Granderson batted .249/.327/.453 last year with 30 HR and 20 SB. He scored 91 runs and drove in 71. Although his batting average dropped for the second consecutive year, he still had a combined 61 extra-base hits (23-8-30). He has an extraodinary combination of extra-base power and speed, evidenced by his 84 XB-hits back in 2007.

Granderson was officially dealt to the New York Yankees today as part of a 3-team trade that also included the Detroit Tigers and Arizona Diamondbacks.

The 25-year-old Johnson had a career year in 2009, posting a 15-5 record with a 3.23 ERA and 1.16 WHIP. He made all 33 starts, logged over 209 IP and posted a 191/58 K/BB ratio.

Johnson has also been mentioned in trade rumors this week, as the Rangers apparently tried to pry him away from the Marlins for Neftali Feliz and Justin Smoak.

Granderson is signed to a 1-year contract, while Johnson is signed for 4 years.

WinOrLoseHitTheBooze's 5th round pick will be the 49th pick in the draft.

Fantasy Points Comparison:

Granderson (560) vs. Johnson (632)

This deal is now official and the corresponding roster moves have been made to the Homestead Grays and WinOrLoseHitTheBooze roster pages.
