Adam Jones and John Danks Swap Homes

The Starcity Arms have re-acquired SP John Danks ($11), agreeing to trade CF Adam Jones ($9) to the Master Batters for him.

Danks was originally traded away by the Starcity Arms in the August 5th, 2009 deal that brought in SP Felix Hernandez.

Cain Shipped For Second Time This Offseason

Back in February, Matt Cain was the Master Batters newly acquired ace. Today SP Matt Cain ($13) was sent packing, along with RF Matt Joyce ($4) and a 5th round pick in the 2011 draft to the S.S. Express in exchange for 1B James Loney ($14/$12) and highly touted prospect SP Brian Matusz ($1) and the S.S. Express' 8th round pick in the 2011 draft.

Although Joyce could someday prove useful, he is an after thought at this point, so the deal is essentially saw the S.S. Express trade two-for-one, but receive a slight upgrade in draft picks.

Ball Smashers 2009 Payroll Error and Correction

Ball Smashers.. and all other TGM managers..

An error was found in Ball Smashers 2009 Keepers. They payroll was originally indicated to = $257, when it was actually worth $263. Due to an addition error, the Ball Smashers only truly had $37 to spend on free agency. Unfortunately the team spent $38 before we realized the mistake, bringing the total to what we thought was $295 dollars. Instead with the $6 increase from $257 to $263, $295 becomes $301, leaving the Ball Smashers $1 over the payroll limit. Seeing as how Akinori Iwamura was the last player signed and bidded on by the Ball Smashers:

it is only appropriate that Iwamura be dropped to correct the payroll mistake, therefore decreasing the payroll by $1, back to $300, the limit.

Because the Master Batters and the Starcity Arms had more than 50 Yahoo roster players, they had to make the following cuts to their rosters prior to the season starting:
