Kyle Drabek's Stock Rises Ahead Of 2010 Draft..

Although he would have been a top-20 prospect coming into the season anyway, with the rumoured Roy Halladay to the Philadelphia Phillies deal on the verge of completion, Kyle Drabek is suddenly a sure fire bet to go in the Top-5 picks of the TGM 2010 Entry Draft. #1 has gotta be Stephen Strasburg, unless MLB.com somehow omits the Washington Nationals' phenom from their rankings (knock on wood Kedro).

God forbid Strasburg is not atop the draft board, there SHOULD be plenty of other high tier talent available:

OF Jason Heyward
C Buster Posey
SP Madison Bumgarner
1B Justin Smoak
3B Pedro Alvarez
3B Mike Moustakas
SP Aroldis Chapman
SS Tim Beckham
OF Desmond Jennings
1B Lars Anderson
3B Brett Wallace
C Jesus Montero
P Phillipe Aumont
1B Yonder Alonso
3B Josh Vitters
C Carlos Santana
OF Mike Stanton

BUT with Kyle Drabek poised as the ace of the future in Toronto, it's hard to imagine him slipping beyond this first round, and inevitably could be gobbled up by either the YBombers (2nd overall) or Eric Byrnes Joints (4th overall). There are also perennial Jays' fiends at #6-8 (Starcity Arms, The Screwballs and Homestead Grays). Any team hoping to acquire Drabek come Draft day had better take him at their first crack at the podium, because he'll be long gone before they get their second go around.
